La 4 iulie 2013, celebra revistă engleză ”World Soccer” a realizat o anchetă pentru a desemna cei mai mari antrenori mondiali ai tuturor timpurilor.
Printre cei votați s-a aflat și Ștefan Kovacs, românul timișorean care a făcut legendă la Ajax, la începutul anilor ’70! Puțini știu, dar el a jucat și la Ripensia, în 1941, ca jucător fiind cunoscut sub numele de Kovacs IV.
